History Jute Export was founded by Mr Eric Ellis on 5 October 1936. Having previously run a family Hessian business overseas, after arriving in the UK he obtained some ex military sandbags and approached a UK Bedding Company which subsequently used them to cover the bottom of their divan bases.
Developments Since then of course cheaper, man-made materials have largely replaced Hessian however this introduction proved invaluable as from then onwards Jute Export has dedicated itself to solely supplying UK Bedding manufacturers.
The Present The Company has also grown significantly and, with over 70 years experience, is today firmly established as a leading supplier of quality products and, just as importantly, service to both large and small UK bedding manufacturers.
